If you are new to Mexican Genealogy or want to learn everything you can about the subject, then the book Finding Your Mexican Ancestors A Beginner’s Guide is a must for you. The book is written by George and Peggy Ryskamp. It is a very thorough book and will provide you with many great ideas of where to search for your ancestors.
I was recently asked at a genealogy meeting about my book “Mexican Genealogy Research Online A Guide to Help You Discover Your Ancestry 2nd Edition” and how it compared to George and Peggy’s book. The person asking wanted to know which one they should buy and this is what I told them.
“If I were you I would buy both, they are very different, in George and Peggy’s book you will find an excellent resource as to what is out there and show you the possibilities of what you can find in regards to your ancestors. On the other hand, my book will help you find most of the resources that they mention online, without you having to leave your home, and provide you examples of how to use them.”
I am sharing this book so that you can know it is out there. It is an excellent resource and it also fills in some gaps that I did not address in my own book. Below you will find more information in regards to this book.
