I am sharing this resource with you since I know that many of us that have roots in Mexico also have indigenous roots.
I myself, based on my DNA research, am 25%. Unfortunately, I have not been able to trace these ancestors further due to the lack of documents on them.
What we can do is read more about the empires and or tribes that they might have come from to learn more about their cultures and this is a great resource to get more information about this.
