Conquistador Garcia de Aguilar
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

In this post, you will find more information about Conquistador Garcia de Aguilar. He was married to Maria Ayala.

He was originally from Villafranca, Maestrazgo de Leon, Extremadura, Spain and it is assumed that he arrived in what became New Spain in 1520.

He was with Cortez in the conquest of Mexico and also participated in the conquest of Guadalajara and later on Yucatan.

In  1547 he was residing in Puebla. It is estimated that he did about 1570.

iv. ANA DE AGUILAR (daughter of Felipe de Arellano and Juana de Aguilar)7. She married JUAN GAMOBOA.

4. ANA GARCIA DE AGUILAR (_____ _____, Garcia (conquistador)1, de Aguilar)2, 5-6. She married JUAN DE MILLAN DE GAMBOA (son of Cristobal Martin (conquistador) Martin de Millan de Gamboa and Maria Coronado). He was born in Triana2.

Martin Flores and Catalina de Gamboa had the following child:

i. MELCHORA GAMBOA (daughter of Martin Flores and Catalina de Gamboa)9. She married BARTOLOME DE SANTA CRUZ.

Moisés, en el correo preguntas si tenemos ancestros de origen indígena o español de entre 1519-1600 y como estamos emparentados, me imagino que compartimos antepasados, donde yo cuento como parientes lejanos (según FamilySearch) a los reyes católicos de España, la reina Isabel, etc., pero como ancestros directos tengo a Moctezuma Xocoyotzin, Juan de Oñate, entre otros. Cómo pueden mis raíces estar por todos lados? Es confiable el árbol universal o colectivo que estamos armando en FamilySearch? Gracias! Pablo

    1. Hola Pablo, según mi propia experiencia el FamilyTree en FamilySearch no es confiable. Está curado por cualquier persona con cualquier nivel de experiencia. Los antepasados ​​que he estado buscando por años en el árbol de FamilySearch todos tienen padres, pero todos están equivocados. Eliminé algunos de ellos y agregué una explicación para luego descubrir que alguien los volvió a agregar. Entonces dejé de intentarlo. Lo mejor que puedes hacer es mantener tu árbol en tu computadora y encontrar uno o más documentos que demuestren parentesco en cada generación. Para mí, el Árbol de FamilySearch es simplemente otra herramienta que puedo utilizar para intentar encontrar registros de mis antepasados.
