Nueva Galicia used to be a kingdom of New Spain and it used to cover the areas of present-day Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Aguascalientes. My own special interest in this group is that some of my maternal roots are from Zacatecas and Jalisco.

My father and his parents were born in Jalisco in the area ayutla. My fathers name was Esteban Cornado Gonzalez. My Grand Mother’s name was Eloisa Cornado and was a cousin of Gerardo Murillo Cornado. My Grandfather was named Roman Gonzalez. He was born inSan GabrieI. I would like to get more information on this part of my family.
