Biographies are a great way to add to the lives of your ancestors and here is a book that has many of them, Biografias de Mexicano Distinguidos. It is free to download.
I came across this book while searching for biographies of the Mexica (Aztecs). It is titled "Biografias de Mexicanos Distiguidos". It literally translates to "Biographies of Distinguished Mexicans".
It does contain some biographies of Mexicas, Spaniards, and Mexicans. Genealogy wise, many of the biographies contain birth dates and some contain the names of the parents.
This information could easily help you distinguish if the person mentioned, if they have the same name as your ancestor, is really your ancestor.
The book was written by Francisco Sosa back in 1884 and is no longer under copyright. Below you will find a button that will take you to Google Books were you can get a copy.
Even if you think that this book is not for you, I recommend that you download it to your genealogical eBook library.
Also, the book is over 1,000 pages and you will find a name index at the very end of the book.
A name that is mentioned, not my ancestor, was that of Lorenzo de Zavala who had an impact in the History of Texas.
