History of the North Mexican States in Two Volumes

Today I want to share with you a great resource that I came across titled History of the North Mexican States. The reason for sharing it is because I am a big proponent of learning Mexico’s national, state, and local history. This will provide you with skills necessary to conduct your Genealogy research of your Mexican ancestors. It is very important since you will also be able to place your ancestors lives into a historical context.

This resource “History of the North Mexican States” come in two volumes, Volume I covers the years 1531-1800 and volume II covers 1801-1889.

The books were written by Hubert Howe Bancroft back in 1884/1889 and cover the northern Mexican states of modern Texas, Coahuila, Durango, Chihuahua, New Mexico, Sinaloa, Sonora, Arizona, and the two Californias.
